There are 2 temples having the same name of Chion in Kyoto.

It is at this less famous Chion temple, that the flea market is held every month.

Most of the things sold here are handicrafts, and food. Some of the stuffs are really interesting, and you might not find it in normal souvenier shop in Kyoto.

Like this handmade cloth slippers.

Or this mini traditional house... really small in real size... a reflections on how detail Japanese are.

And I love this, it is called "Fuku..something.." Anyone, please tell me the name of this food.
Many flavours to choose, strawberry, green tea, err.. the rest I dont know.
I had to queue for 1o minutes for this. Quite expensive if converting the price to Malaysian ringgit, one for RM4

The place is quite famous, not as a flea market, but as a「手つくり市」selling the hand-made stuff 「手つくり物」on every 15th of the month. It's really interesting conversing with the sellers cuz they are mostly the ones making the products sold there. Very cozy atmosphere. I love it there, but haven't had a chance to be there for too many months in a row. I've never seen that sweet you have in the picture though. Will find out the next time I go.
